Shipping & Returns

Shipping

Flight in Winter will ship orders to the U.S., Canada and APO addresses.  We do not ship to any other countries at this time.

We work hard to provide the very best service possible to our customers. Most orders ship within 24-48 hours unless otherwise specified or for special order items.  Many orders are shipped the same day that we receive your order. In the rare event that your order cannot be shipped within our standard time frame, we will contact you and inform you of the situation and a predicted date and time that your order will be shipped.  Feel free to contact us with any questions.

Upon receipt of an order Flight in Winter processes the order within 24-48 hours. 90% of our deliveries arrive within 7-10 business days. Shipping confirmation emails will be sent to you when your products leave our facility. Flight in Winter in all cases tries to expedite all orders in a timely fashion.  Multiple shipping points, back ordered product and availability of the product(s) are considerations impacting delivery time. If you order several different products at once they may come from multiple shipping points and may arrive on different days.  If only one item on your order will delay shipping, Flight in Winter may choose to ship a portion of your order and followup with an additional shipment when that one item arrives in our warehouse.  You will be notified of any delay and offered the opportunity to decide how to proceed with your order.

We ship via UPS and USPS and many times offer our customers the option between the two.  Please let us know if you have a specific shipping need and we will see what we can do to accommodate those needs.

Please contact us if you are interested in special handling for shipments to APO/FPO addresses.

USPS Note:
Tracking information on the USPS website is often (usually) incorrect.  They do not update that information in a timely manner and often do not show the status of a shipment.  For example, it might be two days after an item is shipped before it will even appear on the USPS website.  You might check USPS in the morning and find that your shipment is sitting in New York or Dallas and when you check later in the day, it has passed completely through the system, traveled clear across the country, it has been sorted and delivered and all of those steps will suddenly appear in their system.  They may even be times when an item never appears in the USPS tracking system even long after it has been delivered.  Sometimes their tracking system works properly and often it does not.  Flight in Winter has no control over the way USPS does or does not do their job and complaining about it does not good.

At this time, USPS seems to be one of the least expensive ways to ship but as you know, the cost of shipping is rising at an alarming rate.  Unfortunately, shipping costs can sometimes exceed the total cost of your order.  We have no control over that either.

If you desire efficient and accurate tracking of your shipment, you may choose UPS during the checkout process but their service may cost considerably more, depending on the size of your order and where you live.

Order Adjustment and Cancellation

Flight in Winter cannot accept change of shipping address requests after an order has been processed. Should you require the modification of an address (missing suite number, transposed street number etc.) please contact Customer Service immediately (within 24 hours of order transmission) at accounting@flightinwinter.com or by phone at 816-399-4924. Should you require a complete change of "Ship To" information you will be required to cancel your order and re-enter it. Flight in Winter reserves the right to refuse shipment to temporary addresses without prior payment in full.

Flight in Winter can not accept Post Office Box addresses for shipment. We can only ship to physical street addresses. Shipping addresses must comply with commercial delivery standards used by all majors carriers, such as UPS, USPS, Federal Express, Airborne Express and DHL.

In the event you desire to cancel an order, please notify us within 24 hours of order placement. Email accounting@flightinwinter.com or call 816-399-4924. Please provide the Order number and reason. If you desire to cancel an order after the 24 hour period, it is probable that the order will have been processed. If the shipment can be canceled, we will cancel the order.
