We at Flight in Winter have used Tenergy 2300 R2U cells for over a year and have found them to be a great value.  They make up the bulk of our emergency battery storage.  He have, however, found that you need to cycle the battery a few times before they reach their peak performance.  This practice is indicative of all NiMH cells and Tenergy cells are no different.  The R2Us also need to be cycled and even though they are advertised as being Ready 2 Use, they often need to be charged first.

On their first cycle, most NiMH cells perform at around 50%.  The second cycle usually brings them close to their peak capability.  Subsequent cycles tweak that performance level and solidifies the performance of their life cycle.
